Tours and Safaris
Below we show our standard safaris. However all our tours are planned to meet the specific requirements of guests. Please give us an idea of what you would like to do and when you want to come so we can give you a quotation.
We offer 2 types of tours both of which can be experienced with or without the Zambian Safari experience, please click on one of the tours below for more information:
Tour 1: Malawi Highlands and Lakeshore Safari with or without Zambian Safari.
Tour 2: Malawi Culture, History & Lakeshore Safari with or without a Zambian Safari.
Seeing lots of big game in Malawi is still difficult, due to the undeveloped nature of the national parks but Luangwa National Park in Zambia is only 150 kms from the Malawi border and there visitors will almost certainly see elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, lots of different buck, warthogs, hyena, zebras, many types of apes and lots of birds. Most visitors see lion or leopard and some both. You will stay at a lodge overlooking the Luangwa River where elephants and hippo frequently pass through the site. While the park is becoming more popular it is still relatively unknown and offers one of the unique experiences of Africa.
Our prices are all-inclusive in £ Sterling and include airport transfers from Lilongwe International Airport, accommodation in en suite chalets, all meals, all activities and admission charges except those specifically mentioned as optional extras. When the Zambian Safari is chosen this includes transport to Zambia for a 4 day, 3 night Safari at South Luangwa National Game Park with shared accommodation in chalets, all food during the trip, park entry fees, 4 game viewing drives including at least one night drive. Single accommodation on the Zambian Safari is available at a small additional charge.
Not included in our prices are, drinks, the optional extras of boat rides, sailing, horse riding and scuba diving, nor the costs of any visas. Most visitors to Malawi will not require visas but many visitors from outside Africa will require a visa to enter Zambia. This is bought at the border and the cost varies, according to passport, from US $50 to US$ 150. We will be pleased to provide up-to-date information.
Children are very welcome on all tours and are given very good discounts.
Air Tickets - We can often obtain fairly good prices for air tickets; usually they are cheaper the earlier the booking is made. If you let us know when you would like to come we can quote you for flights and you can compare this to what can be obtained though your travel agent or on the internet.
